fully loaded lock-in: Great Outreach

posted by Ryan Throop @ 2:22pm, Monday 10 November 2008.

Our students did an amazing job bringing their unchurched friends to our fully loaded lock-in this past Friday night. I want to share some amazing stats from that night:

Cornerstone Students- 20

Non-Cornerstone Students- 87

New-Prospects- 33

I commend out students for getting on board with this outreach event and inviting their friends, passing out flyers at school, and even bringing friends to the lock in. It's amazing that we have 33 new students as prospects. These are students that have never been to Cornerstone or a student ministries event and do not attend church anywhere else.

My challenge to our teens during 180 and fuse Sunday night was to follow up with a friend (or friends) they invited to the lock-in, as part of our overall plan for follow up on the 87 students that aren't part of 180 or fuse. We exist to "...lead teens to become fully devoted followers of Jesus." You can be a part of that purpose!

fully loaded (6th - 12th grade) takes place THIS SUNDAY at 6pm. Our topic: "Evolution... fact or fictionω"

food fest & fully loaded

posted by Ryan Throop @ 7:04am, Monday 27 October 2008.

Hey Everyone!

We're just coming off of an amazing weekend at Student Ministries. Saturday we held our first food fest. More than 25 teens took part in some of the craziest games that involve food and The Ultimate Food Fight. Here are some of the highlights:

You've heard of bobbing for apples... we added a little twist. Bobbing for Swiss Cake rolls in milk. Yum!

Scrabble with Alphabet Spaghetti Os.

Congrats to Gabe who won a $10 Target gift card in the SPAM carving contest for his interesting sculpture.

30 lbs. of Spaghetti; 15 lbs. of mashed potatoes; 4 tubs of chocolate pudding; whipped cream; tomatoes; eggs; and more... The Ultimate Food Fight. For more on the food fest, check out the pictures section in the "Media" tab.

Sunday was fully loaded at 6pm. We discussed "pressures" as it relates to your life. We look forward to hearing from you about what God is doing in your life in and through our student ministries. The next fully loaded with the student band and cafe loaded is in 3 weeks (November 16 at 6pm). Be sure to bring your friends.
